FBA Liquidation Calculator

Is holding your inventory still worth it? Compare FBA storage costs, Amazon liquidation, removal for direct resale, and disposal before deciding what to do next.

01 / YOUR INVENTORY

Run the numbers first

Start with your inventory details, then adjust rates using your actual seller statements.

Adjust rates and recovery assumptions

These editable values are examples, not live fees or buyer offers. Use rates for your item size, weight, inventory age and actual statements.

This simplified model applies the surcharge at a current age of 181 days or more.

Liquidation includes commission and per-unit processing fees. Refer to Amazon’s official guidance and your seller account for applicable fees. All amounts are editable.

02 / COMPARE OPTIONS

Compare estimated outcomes

Entire lot · USD

Positive amounts mean estimated recovery; negative amounts mean estimated costs.

These are estimated cash outcomes from today, not profit. Purchase costs, taxes and other possible expenses are excluded. Resale assumes a selling price; an actual offer requires a buyer review.

How are these figures calculated?

Keep in FBA: holding period × total volume × current monthly storage and aged-inventory rates, assuming no sales during that period.

Amazon liquidation: assumed gross recovery − liquidation commission − per-unit processing fees.

Remove and resell: assumed sale proceeds − removal fees − freight and other pickup costs.

Dispose: quantity × disposal fee per unit, shown as a cost.

This model does not forecast sales or advance inventory-age fee tiers month by month. Compare scenarios using your actual rates.

How to compare FBA storage costs and liquidation options

FBA storage costs depend on inventory volume, holding time and applicable rates. A liquidation decision also involves removal fees, disposal charges, liquidation costs and actual buyer offers. This calculator compares four options under the same assumptions to estimate cash outcomes from today.

Example: 500 units with a selling price of $15 and volume of 0.15 cu ft each. At $0.78/cu ft monthly storage plus a current $1.50/cu ft aged-inventory surcharge, holding for three months costs about $513. Assuming 10% gross liquidation recovery, a 15% commission on that recovery and $0.30/unit processing, estimated net liquidation recovery is $487.50.

These figures are examples, not live Amazon fees or buyer offers. Third-party warehouse closeouts and e-commerce returns have different handling costs. Submit their details for a manual review; the FBA model is not applied to those inventories.

FAQ

Is the calculated recovery value a buyer offer?

No. Results use your assumed rates, recovery percentages and freight costs. Actual pricing depends on category, condition, quantity, location and the buyer review. Submitting details does not create a transaction.

Can I submit inventory in a third-party warehouse or Walmart WFS?

Yes. Choose the relevant inventory location in the form. The calculator models U.S. FBA only; other inventory is reviewed separately without applying FBA assumptions.

Can I get started without photos or a full SKU list?

Yes. Only email is required. Product name, quantity, area and condition help the buyer assess the stock, and you can provide other information later.

Are returns receiving and pickup free?

This depends on condition, volume, address and service scope. Some returns arrangements may exchange receiving services for inventory you authorize for disposal. Eligibility and included handling must be agreed by both parties.
